About Trevor Devine

I am a 4th-year graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, co-advised by Dr. Daeyeon Lee and Dr. Rob Riggleman. I currently study the effects of confinement on the thermodynamics of polymer-blend nanocomposites to intelligently design novel membranes and enhanced coatings. I have a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. I was also the Co-President of Penn Biotech Group, the largest graduate consulting organization at Penn. I oversaw almost 350 graduate and professional students from 9/12 of the Penn schools, with the help of 21 executive board members operating a budget of $80k sourced from industry partners. I directed the pro-bono consulting arm and oversaw the 25+ projects for over 125 associate consultants we staffed each year. Before this role, I successfully led and contributed to several projects as a team member, manager, and director. My experiences include developing profitability frameworks, asset diversification strategies, pricing models, and market research, working with clients ranging from start-ups to large biopharma firms. I am passionate about solving problems that lie at the intersection of science and business.
