About Trevor Dunham

I am studying Middle Childhood Education at Bowling Green State University, where I am focusing on Science and Social Studies. Currently, I am doing my student teaching in a 6th-grade classroom and have had a chance to create and teach lessons that promote higher-level thinking, teamwork, and integration of concepts to real life. Also, my work as a substitute teacher, teacher’s aide, and recreation center employee has allowed me to strengthen my classroom management and flexibility With the overall goal of student success, I am interested in creating a positive and engaging space Linking past historical events and concepts with current issues is one of the ways that I promote awareness beyond the classroom. During my time at BGSU, I have created station activities, led discussions around tough topics like religion and social issues, and designed engaging science activities to create interest in students.
