About Trevor Germain

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve had a career of solving complex problems and helping to build and grow teams. I have been employed by many great companies and have also delivered on many consulting and contracting projects. The variety of projects has proven that I am a strong problem solver and has given me the opportunity to stay current with the latest industry standards and best practices. As a lifelong learner, I follow many technical blogs and learning sites, and try to keep up with the latest changes to the common back-end and front-end frameworks. The most rewarding positions I’ve held have been when I’ve led a growing team of developers as scrum master and team lead. I am an excellent teacher, and love to share my latest learnings or insights. I have also been fortunate enough to have worked on automating large industrial equipment and rolling out a complex Android based warehousing system. Working with hardware is very interesting, and something I would like to continue to explore. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to relate and communicate with people. I am very easy to get along with, can lead groups, and am able to present information in a way that non-technical people can understand. Outside of work, I play hockey and golf, I hunt and fish, play guitar and sing, and I love to home brew craft beer. My family and I have made Edmonton our home for over 20 years and have been involved in the community through volunteering and coaching kids sports. I love meeting new people and hope that by reading my profile, we have already connected, or will connect in the future.
