I am a highly motivated Engineering Manager with over 30 years’ experience in design, project delivery and operational maintenance who has proven abilities to lead, manage and participate in multi-disciplinary teams as well as the discipline to work independently and remotely. I have the experience and knowledge to successfully lead and build an effective and efficient team and to make confident decisions to ensure the most complicated aspects of system integration in project delivery result in improved performance and to programme and budget successfully, throughout all stages of a project or assets lifecycle. I am primarily an expert in communications and control systems in the railway environment, with over 30 years’ experience, I also have high speed production and process experience. I have a good working knowledge of related non-communications disciplines such as signaling, low voltage electrical, fire detection systems, building services, and the multi-discipline integration and engineering assurance of these. I have a detailed knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality law, standards and requirements as well as Human Factors and have been responsible for developing policies, plans, procedures and safe systems of work in these fields. I am experienced in the commercial management of projects and assets and am responsible for people and contract management. I have successfully defined requirements management and deliverable milestones at all stages of project life cycles. I am a qualified Engineering Executive, a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia. My greatest strengths are to inspire and empower my team to deliver, giving them the tools and support to ensure success and to simplify complex issues.
