I am a product enthusiast who loves understanding how parts and finished consumer products are manufactured. I live and breathe defining the specifications of a part or finished product, including retail and shipping packaging. I work well with engineers as I understand the tolerances of the design and materials proposed for development. My skillset is versatile as I have direct experience working with hard goods, soft goods, electronics, raw materials, and packaging materials for the Outdoor consumer market and US Department of State. I am skilled in sourcing and qualifying manufacturers and trading companies for procurement. My experiences in Asia, Europe, and South America have honed my global procurement strategies and communication styles. With over 10 years direct experience managing the supply chain for wholesalers and distributors, I understand inbound costs (material, quality control, freight, customs, duties, tariffs, taxes, insurance, currency conversion, payment fees) to land products or materials into the US and distribute to 3PLs, distribution centers, or customer warehouses. I have built and implemented infrastructure to ensure purchasing efficiencies, product compliance, and visibility into supply chains, in addition to increasing revenue, profit, and brand reputation.
