About Trevor Morrison

When I was young, I lived in an area that had horrible infrastructure. Many of the buildings around had cracks in them, and some looked like they could collapse at any minute just from a single breath of air. Even my old elementary school had to be torn down just after I had finished the first grade. When my dad would drive me to school, the roads were so horrible that I felt sick on the way to and from school almost every single day. Throughout the rest of my elementary school days, I had always wondered if there could be something I could do in the future to potentially help with these issues.When I heard the word, “engineer,” for the first time back in middle school, I was instantly intrigued. After I was told about the problem solving, designing, and building aspects of what an engineer is capable of, I knew what I wanted to be. At the time, I wasn’t sure what kind of engineer I wanted to be. I just knew I wanted to be capable of working on many different kinds of projects. This passion led me through high school when I took as many engineering courses as I could. I had always been amazing at math and science, and these engineering courses truly helped me polish those skills even further.This same passion is what led me to go to North Carolina State University, where I became a part of the College of Engineering. Due to the vast amounts of different projects I knew I would want to take part in, I knew Civil Engineering would be the path to take. I found that I wanted to help design roads, maintain buildings, and develop plans for new waterways, to name a few. I have never been one to turn down a project, big or small, and that passion will stay with me forever.My specialties include Microsoft Office Excel, Excel VBA, vPython, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, problem solving, logistics, and project organization.
