About Trevor Norton

I am a Data Scientist with research experience in both Machine Learning and Mathematics. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at Virginia Tech, I have been advancing machine learning techniques for coarse-grained potentials of proteins. My work accelerates protein dynamics simulations while ensuring thermodynamic consistency. During my PhD at Boston University, I researched Mathematical Physics and Dynamical Systems. I explored novel methods for treating non-localized, traveling wave solutions. Leveraging my experience in Partial Differential Equations and Functional Analysis, I also demonstrated theoretical convergence results for numerical methods applied to ligand-docking problems.
