About Trevor Powers

Hello! My name is Trevor Powers, and I am a US Navy veteran of 5 years. While I was in the Navy, I served as a Torpedoman's Mate 2nd Class. My responsibilities included ensuring proper maintenance and planning of said maintenance on all torpedo air, hydraulic, sea water systems, and all small arms aboard. I am now working for Sidney City Schools, a K-12 school district in Sidney, Ohio, as an Information Technology Support Specialist. In this role, I manage the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of Chromebooks in a 1:1 district serving over 3,300 students. Additionally, I assist staff with various technology needs, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and perform standard help desk technician responsibilities such as resolving technical support tickets, managing user accounts, and maintaining network connectivity. I also planned and successfully implemented a new Apple device management system using JAMF, which now oversees over 400 iPads and other Apple devices throughout the district. This involved conducting research, designing the deployment strategy, enrolling devices, and configuring policies to support both instructional goals and security best practices. I have completed my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and am passionate about leveraging my skills to support educational environments. My long-term goal is to grow within the IT field, with a particular interest in network administration and systems management.
