Background
About Trey Billing
I am a Data Scientist at ACLED, building tools for forecasting and understanding political violence around the world. My work appears in several leading academic journals on conflict, international development, and political science. I have also designed and implemented original surveys in the field, using experimental approaches that draw out hidden preferences and opinions of respondents. Prior to joining ACLED, I was a post-doctoral fellow with the Mershon Center for International Security Studies at the Ohio State University. I hold a PhD in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland-College Park and BA from the University of Dayton.
