About Trey Jensen

I am a recent graduate from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. I am a food science and technology major. My studies have included aspects of food engineering, unit operations, food law, biochemistry and food chemistry, sensory analysis and product development. Additionally, I have studied the fundamentals of French cooking as well as international cooking. During my studies I have become familiar with how to use a pH meter, texture analyzer, viscometer, mass photospectrometer, steam blancher, centrifuge, homogenizer, industrial peeler, industrial grinder, water activity meter, colorimeter, and sieve sorter. I am very efficient in Red Jade Sensory Analysis and Genesis R&D software. Recently, my team and I placed first in the SCFIC product development competition. The competition was located at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, Ca. I am also a food hobbyist with an interest in fermentation and other culinary works. I am certified in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). After graduating I pursued certification in Agricultural Biology in order to supplement my education. To date I have been certified in Integrated Pest Management, Pesticide Regulation, Commodity Regulation, Quarantine Regulation, and Investigation & Environmental Monitoring.
