Background
About Trey McKnight
As a native Memphian, I joined the Economic Development Growth Engine (EDGE) in 2013. EDGE was created by a Joint Resolution of the Memphis City Council and Shelby County Commission in February 2011 to be the Economic Development organization for the City of Memphis and County of Shelby. In my role as Economic Development Specialist, I actively recruit companies to Memphis and Shelby County and nurture existing business relationships to foster Economic Growth. Additionally, I manage the Payment-in-lieu-of-tax (PILOT) program which has generated over jobs and over $2 billion dollars being invested in the local economy. I bring a unique perspective to EDGE with a background in both sales and asset management. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Tennessee.
