Background

About Trijntje Kootstra

I have been active as an expert in tackling domestic violence and child abuse in various roles since 2007, in combination with a long career in tackling human trafficking from the early 1990s. I am one of the founders of the La Strada network in which Central and Eastern European organisations work together to tackle traffic in human beings. Human rights are a strong personal motivation and are therefore the central theme in my career. I feel at home in the non-profit sector and work for municipalities (youth, social and security domain), national government and civil society organizations, both on a national and international level. I am passionate about my work and love pioneering. I have a lot of energy and my enthusiasm is contagious as a binding force between various parties and target groups. The role of project leader suits me perfectly, but I also like to sink my teeth into jobs as a policy advisor, interim-manager, researcher, trainer and chairperson at conferences. Don't hesitate to call upon me to:* Develop ‘rough ideas’ into concrete, ambitious and complete project proposals * Provide project management, both from scratch and to re-energize a project that has been stalled * Provide interim management * Conduct (policy) research * Write policy, vision and research papers * Conduct fundraising * Provide in-company training on project management * Organise national and international seminars * Chair meetings Contact details: info@trijntjekootstra.nl,+ 31 6 436 37 420,
