About Trinity Jones

I'm a writer passionate about creating stories featuring Black people at the center. I recently attained my Bachelor's degree in English and am currently working towards a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University, which has been consistently ranked among the nation's top 10 film schools. I aim to create stories to impact and uplift Black people who, like me, have gone through their lives without seeing many characters that look like them. I plan to further the interest of people of color by becoming a screenwriter and creating stories that center on Queer Black women. I'm proud to have received recognition for my work, including winning the NAACP Creative Sole Scholarship as well as repeated winnings of the Richard Caplan Sketch Prize (Nonfiction)(Undergrad) and the Pearl Hogrefe Senior Scholarship in Creative Writing (Undergrad) scholarships. I have also had over 10 creative pieces published in the past five years. What sets me apart is my creativity and my passion for creating stories that feature not only Black people but center Black joy. I want to develop stories that not only feature Black people but centers Black joy because we deserve to have stories that explore all aspects of our lived experiences. In my professional career, I am committed to writing stories that impact and uplift Black people who, like me, have gone through their lives without seeing many characters that look like them.
