About Trish Williams

As Executive Director of Scripted Content Trish oversees all drama, comedy and feature film at the national public broadcaster, CBC. An experienced industry veteran, Trish has held senior creative positions as a broadcaster and a producer. Prior to joining CBC, as VP at Temple Street, Trish oversaw both production and development of scripted series for primetime cable, pay, OTT and conventional platforms. While at Bell Media, Trish was Director of Drama and led the team on the development and production of 300 hours of original Canadian dramatic series across Bell Media’s family of channels including CTV, SPACE, MUCH and Bravo, and TMN/HBO Canada. Some highlight being CTV's highly-rated SAVING HOPE and MOTIVE, SPACE/BBCA's critical smash ORPHAN BLACK and fan favourites for Space/Syfy BITTEN and KILLJOYS. Bravo launched the critically acclaimed Quebec-adaptation of 19-2, TMN/HBO Canada premiered the Don McKellar and Kim Cattrall starrer in SENSITIVE SKIN and for the teen-skewing audiences on MUCH/CW Martin Gero’s recently re-booted THE LA COMPLEX. Joining CTV in 2008, Trish was production executive on the juggernaut series FLASHPOINT and DEGRASSI. Trish began her career as a documentary writer/producer with projects airing on flagship network strands such as CBC's The Passionate Eye and CTV's W5. Trish holds a MA in Communication and Culture from the York/Ryerson University joint program.
