About Trisha Johnson

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who strives to help remove the “stress” from relationships and works with couples and families to find balance in our often-chaotic lives. My undergraduate double bachelor’s degrees of Sociology and Liberal Studies were obtained at Saint Leo University and her Master’s of Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy is from Capella University of Minnesota. I am an accredited Triple P Positive Parenting Program and Circle of Parents facilitator. These programs focus on creating positive interactions with specific interventions geared towards families experiencing high levels of disfunction. My experience includes working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I have helped families with specific needs such as parenting and divorce, as well as clients with anxiety, depression, life transitions, loss, and relationship conflict. I take a strength-based and relational approach to therapy, seeing my clients as the experts of their own lives as well as how living within the context of their lives may be affecting their ability to cope and heal. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities such as solution focused, structural and strategic family therapy to tailor treatment plans with client goals.
