Ph.D. Chemist with post doctoral training and 10 years of post graduate experience. Currently Senior Research and Innovation Chemist at Cosmetica Laboratories. Previous experience at NutriAg Ltd. in the role of Senior Research Scientist reporting directly to the Chief Science Officer. Provided technical leadership for the formulation and development of novel agrochemical products. Responsible for R&D lab oversight with people management and leadership experience. Successful track record of new product development with 1 patent granted (biopharma) and 1 patent pending; successfully formulated and commercialized 20 new agrochemical products since 2015; supported chemical process scale up and responsible for the development of methods of manufacture for the production team. Previous experience in Advanced Technology Research at Trojan Technologies, a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation, a science and technology Fortune 500 company. Research involved the development of novel UV technologies for biopharmaceutical applications and the synthesis, formulation, characterization and evaluation of advanced engineered materials for drinking water applications. Enrolled as masters student but was accelerated to PhD program after first year of graduate studies at Western University based on demonstrated proficiency in research. Obtained a PhD in physical-analytical chemistry with expertise in electrochemistry and nanomaterial thin film synthesis, polymer coating techniques, and materials characterization with particular expertise in atomic force microscopy (AFM). Doctoral dissertation explored the development of novel organic conducting polymer coatings and polymeric nanowires for solar cell applications.
