About Tristan Sinclair

Community Development Leader with over 8 years of experience in arts, dance, and fitness program development, tailored for people with intellectual disabilities. Skilled in counselling, with a diploma in the field, my work has encompassed brief intervention support, family inclusive practice, and behaviour support. As a supervisor to disability service practitioners, I've effectively integrated counselling techniques into our services. In 2022, I was honored with the 'Innovation in the Disability Sector' award from Developing Australian Communities, recognising an innovative program I conceptualised and created that provides capacity building, community connection and vocational opportunities in the arts for individuals with Down syndrome. Under my leadership, emotion21 also received the 'Active Recreation & Leisure Initiative of the Year' award at the Disability Sport and Recreation Awards in 2023. I'm known for creating pioneering programs, exceptional performances, and blending spirituality and heart-based intelligence in advocacy. Holding a Bachelor's in Design (Fashion) and a diploma in dance, I am committed to fostering an inclusive, empowering environment for marginalised communities and individuals.
