Premier Rentals’ CEO Trooper Earle graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in 1983, and soon after found himself among the Rent-To-Own ranks at a ColorTyme retail Store in Central Virginia.Two years after obtaining his initial employment within the company, Trooper set his sights on a partnership to start Troop, Inc. as a ColorTyme franchisee with it’s flagship store in Fredericksburg, Va. Substantial growth was seen within Troop Inc. over the following year as additional locations were opened in Manassas, Williamsburg, Va and LaVale, MD, and later in Roakoke, Va. In 1991, as a result of these considerable gains, a new company was formed. TROOP Rentals, Inc marked the beginning of Trooper’s independent Rent-To-Own career as he purchased all business assets from his former partners in Troop, Inc. It was a quick succession of store openings in the next few months, and by the end of 1991, TROOP Rentals, Inc operated 16 locations within Virginia and West Virginia. This solidified TROOP Rentals Inc. within the Rent-To-Own community, as he became the third largest ColorThyme franchisee. Trooper sold many of his ColorTyme locations back to ColorTyme in 1994 when he made the leap to go independent. After meeting with the founder of Premier Rent-To-Own, Carlos Sardinia, he renamed his store locations and became the first dealer of the newly formed licensing organization. A year later Trooper had relocated to Boca Raton, Fla. to offer his trademark hands-on approach to the development of the licensing company. After only a year in Florida, Trooper acquired the licensing asset of Premier Rent-To-Own and returned to his roots, opening the home office in Virginia. By 2001 Trooper had devoted his attention to the development of franchise store locations and sold his personal stores. It was with this reallocation of his efforts that helped Premier dealers open nearly 80 stores in 24 states. In 2008 Premier Rental Purchase had expanded their presence so extensively that Franchising Times listed them as the fifth fastest growing young franchise in America. This recognition continued in 2009 as it maintained a spot within the top 10 fastest growing your franchises in America. Premier continues to thrive as Trooper and his team maintains their focus on ensuring the unparalleled quality of experience for both dealer and customer, setting a precedent that remains unmet by competitors in the Rent-To-Own industry.
