I pursued a career as a health, safety and environmental representative because I believe that it is vital for employees to have a safe place to work. I work very well in a team environment and also have the necessary motivation to succeed in a more solitaire position. I am motivated; details oriented with strong organizational skills and enjoy fast paced jobs that allow me to utilize my skills to multi-task. I believe in ongoing my education and certification’s to help keep me up to date in my chosen profession. I also have a current OSHA 30, OSHA 10 and am a certified H2S Trainer. I have had training in fall protection, man lift, confined space entry and monitoring, lock-out tag-out, HR Leadership, Incident & Taproot Investigation training and numerous other job specific training as required. My experience in HSE has been relatively short (approximately 5 1⁄2 years) yet I have learned a great deal. I worked in heavy industry settings that employ 300+ employees. I have been responsible for the ongoing training of HSE Tech’s and of the drilling employee’s. Site inspections and safety audits were performed on a regular basis-utilizing employee’s from each trade represented on site. I have been responsible for daily record keeping and site environmental inspections and monitoring of employees for safe environmental and safety work practices and adherence to Regulatory and company HSE standards. Educating employees in safe work practices, actively participating in the development of safe work practices procedures, incident reporting to regulatory agencies, tracking incident and injury trends, performing site orientations for all new employees, editing and updating as required the company safety manual/procedures, working closely with the management team to improve upon the companies’ safety performance.
