About Troy Kingham

I am a resilient, impactful and success driven servant leader with a passion for people and culture. I'm a person who has strong values and these guide my actions, decisions and interactions. My experience in teaching and leadership ranges across multiple different educational and socio-economic contexts which have exposed me to a diverse array of opportunities to learn. These have allowed me to develop subject matter expertise in health and physical education, outdoor education, well-being case management, behaviour management, leadership, coaching, positive education and positive culture within teams, communities and organisations. My formative leadership journey at St Paul’s College centred around strong links to improving staff culture, student culture and primarily the improvement of Learning and Development in the Learning Area of Health, Physical Education and Outdoor Education. These achievements culminated in me being nominated and finishing runner up for the 2022 ACHPER Howard Mutton Memorial Award for Excellence in Secondary HPE Teaching.I took these experiences into my role as Year 11 Student Manager of Wellbeing at St Patrick's Technical College where I had the opportunity to be part of a high performing wellbeing team who were tasked with school culture improvement through Restorative Practices. Throughout this experience I called upon my strengths of pastoral care and wellbeing case management to provide extensive support opening up vocational pathways for students who face challenges such as trauma, learning diversity, learned helplessness in schooling and the socio-economic roadblocks that can face students in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.With this foundation of leadership experiences, I have now returned back to St Paul’s College as the Teacher Coach and Mentor. Helping to induct, on board, support and mentor new teachers to St Paul’s College and graduate and early career teachers new to the profession.Coaching teachers to help provide targeted professional development and personal development in areas such as teaching and learning, behaviour management, restorative practices and professional practice.At the core of all of these experiences I pride myself on the ability to develop strong professional relationships, work effectively within a team, strive to help those around me and work towards common goals of a shared vision.
