About Troy Pieper

I am the Varsity Assistant coach at Merrill High School and Work with EBD / BD kids in the Spec Ed department at Kate Goodrich School. I have 10+ years of Coaching experience (Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball). I played 1 year of College Basketball before blowing out my ankle. I have Coached kids from 5th grade all the way up the HS. Basketball is probably the main sport for me and my entire family for that matter. Basketball runs deep in my family, my cousin Anthony Pieper is the All Time leading scorer in the State of Wisconsin for HS and played at Marquette, and he has always been a big influence in my life, he always treated me like his little brother, he took me in during the summer when he was at Marquette to show me how things worked at that level, when he was in HS he made a point to keep in contact with me on an almost daily basis, so he has been an awesome mentor for me, and my uncle Gene Pieper is a Hall of Fame coach in WI and he's who I sort of model my philosophy after, I remember since I was very little watching him lead his teams to 20 wins year in and year out.
