SALES ANALYSIS AND PLANNING: • Seasonal planning and reporting to ensure sections deliver successful sales, stock turn and contribution budgets, managing and motivating the team to act and react according to our current trading environment. • Identify risks and opportunities to ensure the department achieves financial targets and sell-through goals by identifying new product, reacting to best sellers and action regional stock movements and markdowns. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: • Develop new exciting product from initial trend forecasting, competitor benchmarking and translating this into “must have” commercial product for the customer understanding regional differences. • Work closely with vendors and factories to design product, negotiate price and buy quantity ensuring that quality and margins are met. • Source new vendors to meet continuous product and capacity demands of the company. RANGE STRATEGY AND BUILDING : • Build plans for the future season through collaboration and review of lessons learnt and competitor activity to define a forward vision for the range. • Identify key lines from new trends for the season to shape a multi – regional product range • Identify a pricing architecture, options and store grade ensuring the range delivers balance, structure, weighting regionally and exceeds targets • Manage supply base LEADERSHIP: • Manage a team of 5. • Act as a mentor for some Junior Buyers within my company
