About Trystan Lackner

Driven, adaptable and passionate. Through my work and education, I strive to present these values. Having participated throughout High School in various initiatives held through organizations such as Development and Peace, Youth Challenge International and the Whitby Public Library. After graduating from the University of Toronto with a BA in International Development Studies, I got involved with several different community projects, one such volunteer project that stands out is Youth Challenge International's "Innovate My Future" program. This program allowed me to share my passion and drive with others, while providing a chance to grow and adapt to various project demands. Furthermore, creating the opportunities to lead a team and facilitate a virtual seminar on Food Security Issues in Durham Region. Working alongside government officials, program coordinators and team members presented the chance to practice tact, diplomacy and time management. After working for several years at the Whitby Public Library, I finished my time there working as an intern for 6 months developing the start of their onboarding process for staff. This work involved identifying key information for each department as well as the overall organization's foundational needs and skills that staff should have. Utilizing various software throughout, the end goal was to craft a starting point for a knowledge management data base and present it to management at the end of the 6 month contract. Communication, project management and adaptability were skills that were honed and aided in completing this contract successfully. Presently, I have continued my schooling and am pursuing my Project Management certification (CAPM) at the University of Toronto. Furthermore, delving into the field of Construction and Agriculture in the private sector, my current position as Service Advisor in one of the largest Kubota Dealerships in Ontario allows me to assist others as well as learn from amazing mentors in the field. Honing technical knowledge, assisting in business processes and building rapport with various customers and businesses has been an educational and eye opening journey. I look forward to connecting with other likeminded professionals and sharing my passion, adaptability and drive with every person I meet.
