About Tse Nicholas

Nicholas is the technician working in the Design, Fabrication & Test platform team in the Faculty of Science and Engineering in the University of Manchester, his primary area of work will be in technical support on the Polymer and Composite side of the university's research. He completed his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to joining the University of Manchester, he worked as an assistant engineer in the Industrial Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, his team specialized in composite & metal fabrication, destructive and non-destructive testing on materials. In that role he was also involved in workplace HSE and 5S management, in which he obtained the professional qualification in Hong Kong in manual handling, construction material rigging, gas welding and irradiating apparatus operation. Since he finished the role in Hong Kong he relocated to the UK and worked for a few metal fabrication companies, producing architectural panels and parts for earth moving equipment.
