Background

About Tucker Lundstrom

As a mechanical system engineer, I have worked on nuclear power systems to develop new system designs and improve current designs. I have led teams of three to five engineers in multi-disciplinary design development. I interface with clients on a nearly daily basis to assess current needs, progress, and issue resolution, and have consistently provided actionable recommendations and plans in support of ongoing and future projects. I currently lead a team of five engineers in design and design support for three major system designs. As a Platoon Leader for a Scout Platoon, I have managed over nine-million dollars worth of equipment and property. Additionally, I have led 23 men from diverse backgrounds, through various training exercises and one deployment to Afghanistan over the course of 18 months. What I have learned from my experiences as a leader in the Army is that teamwork coupled with common sense are the keys to successfully motivating an organization to achieve its goals. I have also learned that there is no substitute for hard work and a large appetite to learn from experienced teammates.
