About Tuncay Colak

With over 15 years of work experience in Finance, I'm a seasoned leader who can manage complex and dynamic processes across multiple entities and jurisdictions. My core competencies include Accounting, Tax, IFRS, Ssytem implementations (Oracle, SAP, Navision), crisis management, audit, outsourcing management, team and process building. I'm currently the Senior Head of Finance at Blueground, a global real estate company that offers beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped apartments for long term stays. I'm passionate about delivering high-quality and timely financial reporting and compliance, and supporting the company's growth and expansion in Türkiye, Belgium, and the Netherlands. In my current role, I manage the accounting, tax, reporting, cash position as well as the legal, payroll, and admin functions. I also lead the independent audit and tax investigation processes for Türkiye, and oversee the system implementation of Microsoft Navision for the supply chain operation of the company. I lead a diverse and talented team of 18 people, both in-house and outsourced, and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Besides, I have also experienced in my previous career journays, as the Head of Accounting & Tax at Getir, a leading e-commerce company in Turkey and as the Group Accounting & Reporting (IFRS) Manager, in Banvit/BRF which is a global company that leading the meat manifacturing. I managed the accounting, tax and group reporting processes of mother companies and their subsidiries. Also implemented the ERP system projects (SAP, Oracle) on that two companies.
