About Tunicia Walker

Tunicia is a skilled public health professional with over 10 years of experience encompassing water and wastewater analysis, disaster management, public health capacity building, education, and training. Prior to being hired as a full-time employee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she was employed by General Dynamics Information Technology (formerly CSRA), as a technical writer. Tunicia has served on several Centers for Disease Control and Prevention projects. Tunicia has also been previously employed with The Coca-Cola Corporation as a technical writer for the Incident Management and Response group and the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, where she analyzed wastewater samples and stream samples for several analytes mandated by the EPA. Tunicia is a Master of Public Health graduate from Georgia State University. Her concentration was Health Promotion and Behavior and was able to practice the theoretical constructs often seen in health promotion during her field experience practicum at Aniz, Incorporated. Tunicia was responsible for maintaining the client database at Aniz and assisted with outreach activities by assisting with condom demonstrations and educating clients about HIV.
