About Tuomas Malinen

I am a CEO, a Chief Economist and co-founder of GnS Economics ltd. I also hold a title of an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Helsinki. I have a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Helsinki, in addition to which I have studied economics at the University of Oulu and at the New York University. My academic research concentrated on economic growth, income inequality and economic crises (especially financial crises). I have led our small analysis and forecasting team at GnS Economics, since 2012. Between 2020-2022 I led a political project in Finland, which first opposed the European Recovery Fund (narrowly passed the Finnish Parliament in May 2021) and then the Corona lockdowns. During this project I became convinced that our current global elite, consisting of high ranking politicians and leaders of supra-national institutions and corporations, is practicing Divide et Impera (divide and conquer) strategy across the globe. The idea seems to be to push majority of world's population under a global control system through central bank digital currencies (CBDC's), digital ID's, health (vaccination passports), basic income provided and controlled by governments, and through censoring the social media and 'dissidents'. This was not an easy conclusion for me, but the only one I currently consider plausible. The next step in this 'Grand Plan' is probably to use global economic collapse, which is fast approaching, to push through CBDC's, some form of nationalization of banking systems and further government over-reach of the economy. Our economic freedoms are likely to become under never-before-seen attack. Thus, I am a major proponent of local currencies (digital or not), re-building our economic systems from the 'ground up' to serve the people again and radically diminishing the role of governments and central banks.
