About Turn Key Customs

At the age of 10 years old, I began work as a helper in the family business building custom homes during summer vacations, I worked, school permitting, all the way through high school. I also completed 2 years in the Auto Tech program at Bismarck State College at the same time. After high school, I moved to VA to work in my father's Honda shop. Still being young, and unsure of my life path, I got a offer to be an industrial painter. Two years later, realizing industrial painting wasn't my choice for a career, I was back with family business building houses again. A year later, an offer came to move back east again, this time to the DC area, as a lead carpenter for an old family friend. A year as a lead carpenter, the light bulb finally lit up, I should be running my own company instead of working for someone else. Dylan Seidel Contracting was born. 10 years later when the economy was tanked, I couldn't find even small remodeling jobs. I started talking to friends back in ND. Everyone was saying try the oil field. So, again, I moved back to ND. I started at the bottom as a clean & drift hand with Wyoming Casing in Dickinson, ND. 5 years later and countless 150+ hour weeks, I was at the top as a Tong, CRT, and Torque Turn Operator. The last 2 years with Wyoming Casing, I began getting courted by multiple companies. Spring 2018, Tenaris made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I transitioned to Tenaris where I still work. Ever since I was young, there was always a dream, to open a one-stop automotive repair and custom shop someday. I love anything with an engine and to race and build them even more so. Winter of 2020 and a quick chat with a former co-worker brought that dream to a quick forefront in my plans. He is a welder/metal fab/diesel guru and I'm the gas/performance/custom guy. In January 2021, Turn Key Customz was born. The one-stop custom shop with an amazing e-store is hitting the ground running. A new 5200 sq ft facility is just on the horizon. The sky is the limit!
