About Turner Fair

The power and balance of narrative story telling drives my passion for filmmaking and production as a medium for positive change. I am Versatile and proactive problem solver with excellent communication and time management skills. Strong ethos for leading teams, overseeing workflow, and setting up productions. Outstanding capacity to build relationships and cultivate new partnerships. For years I sought self mastery within the craft through various institutions and entities before during and after my education at Ball State University. At the Kheprw Institute, where I am still a media consultant assisting and mentoring their youth lead media program. As I continued my journey in content production, I continued my zest for education when I joined Americorps in 2014. For the few years, I taught in 3 under severed public schools within Cleveland, combining my passion for community service and education through the lens of story telling in ELA disciplines. During this time frequently used my technical filmmaking knowledge, narrative and aesthetic skills to innovate the learning process for my students. For the last few years, between various below line and above line freelance productions across the country. During this tenure I wore many above line production hats dedicating myself to the development and production of a weekly release pipeline for a new streaming network VET TV. Throughout my years as a Producer, Production Coordinator and Director for over 15 narrative and reality based series. I trained a platoons worth of veterans, most with no prior production experience or knowledge on various aspects of film production. In addition to overseeing the production of multiple episodic series, I assisted with the creation and development of promotional short form acquisition marketing material. I also Produced and Directed a Feature Length Documentary that shares the story of veterans combatting suicide through irreverence and unity, along with a companion reality series "veterans laughing together" on the VETTV platform and two other reality shows "Marked" and "Mandatory fun" From educating youth on video storytelling to producing commercials for high-profile companies (NFL, Viacom and Disney to name a few) and developing emerging networks like Veteran Entertainment Television, I had the unique pleasure of telling and teaching stories with different communities over the last decade. Furthermore, Although I love my craft and it is my life. I do not take my self as serious as I do the work of production and film making.
