About Tushar Mehra

I have completed my Bachelor's in Technology (Chemical) from SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, India and Master of Engineering (Chemical) from the The University of Adelaide. During my course of studies I have been able to get vast experience in courses like Thermodynamics, Heat & mass transfer, Fluid dynamics, Process Synthesis and kinetics. I have also had the opportunity to get an experience into basic industrial courses like process plant safety and management, waste water treatment, hydro metallurgy and electro metallurgy.All of the above courses have helped me master my knowledge and skills as a chemical engineer and I have been able to sharpen my skills especially during my masters degree. I am highly skilled process flow systems, waste water treatment techniques and metallurgy while also developing designing skills with the help of softwares like Aspen Plus and AUTO CAD Inventor. I have been working vastly on metallurgy and kinetics during my masters research project which involves production of hydrogen using pyrolysis of methane. This research focuses on eco - friendly production of hydrogen gas at industrial level as the whole world looks to move towards safer and greener practices at industrial level to mitigate the global warming and reduce the emission of green house gases. This project has given me an opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills acquired during the course of my studies into real life problems and has been a huge learning curve for my career. In the future, I would like to pursue a career as a Chemical engineer or a process engineer at a company which is focused on ethical practices and aims to do their part in mitigating the global warming issue that our world faces right now. We as engineers play a huge part in solving this global crisis and our ethical behaviour can lead this world to be a better place.Outside of studies, a huge sports enthusiast. I have been playing multiple sports since my school days and have always found sports as a mean to keep my body and mind in a fresh state. Engineering can be tough at times but sports has always been the getaway for me whenever I need to relax and clear my thought process. I am a long time supported of Chelsea Football Club and have been following the club for the last decade. Apart from sports, I love to cook and have a good taste in music.
