A versatile lawyer with a pragmatic and business oriented approach to legal issues. I have close to two decades of experience in international dispute resolution, particularly through ADR mechanisms such as arbitration and mediation. I am also experienced in contract negotiation and drafting. 🤓 Head of Dispute Resolution at Dottir since February 2024. 🤓 Previously Director of Licensing Disputes at Nokia Technologies, focusing on negotiating global patent license agreements and resolving licensing disputes (2019–2024). 🤓 Prior to that, Senior Associate/Associate at White & Case LLP’s international arbitration practice in Paris, Helsinki, and New York (2008–2009, 2010–2019). Experience in a wide range of dispute resolution proceedings, focusing on ADR, including arbitration. Expertise in arbitrations under various rules, including ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, FAI, and SIAC Rules, as well as sports-related arbitrations. Experience in sitting as arbitrator in commercial disputes. Skilled in negotiating and drafting complex standard-essential patent licensing agreements. Authored and co-authored publications on dispute resolution and governing law, most recently co-editing a book on "Governing Law and Dispute Resolution in Oil and Gas Agreements"(2022). Industry experience in telecommunications, technology, energy (particularly nuclear and renewables), construction, and post-M&A issues. Board Member of the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce; Court Member of the ICC Court of Arbitration. Founder and former president of New York University School of Law's International Arbitration Association. Regular lecturer on international dispute resolution at universities and conferences across Europe. Recognized by Who's Who Legal as a future leader in arbitration (2017–2019) before moving in-house in 2019.
