About Twyla Dolan

As a Victim Specialist at the Missing & Murdered Unit of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, I provide critical support and advocacy to victims of crime in Indian Country. I have a Master of Social Work from New Mexico State University and over four years of experience in social services and nonprofit organizations. I have developed skills in mental health, case management, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care, as well as a deep understanding of the cultural and historical factors that affect Native American communities. My core competencies include communication, collaboration, empathy, and resilience. I am passionate about advancing the mission of the BIA to protect the rights and well-being of Native Americans and Alaska Natives, and to promote their self-determination and sovereignty. I am committed to serving the victims and their families with dignity, respect, and compassion.
