About Ty Hanson

I’m a data-focused Mathematics major, with minors in Computer Science and Chinese. I have a strong appetite for learning and am always eager to ask the next question. I enjoy building tools and conducting analysis that help others work more efficiently and make informed decisions. I'm especially drawn to roles at the intersection of data science and operations—where technical skills drive real-world impact. I'll be relocating to Silver Spring, MD in August 2025. Professionally, I’ve contributed in both technical and client-facing roles. At TIAA, I worked on streamlining business-wide data integration processes, cutting down manual labor through automation in Python and Excel. Before that, I helped innovate SEO strategy development at Connective, presenting results sourced from analytical tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics to improve client visibility and market reach. Outside of work and academics, I frequently run, practice yoga, and go hiking. Recently, I have been embracing more creative pursuits, learning art and revisiting the piano.
