About Ty Littau

Having grown up on a ranch, I value hard work, self reliance, strive for excellence in my life. I believe in self investment and am trying to build a professional portfolio of skills and experiences that will make me the most effective player on any team I have the opportunity to work with. Professionally I have done many different types of farm and ranch work, as well as direct sales, and auctions. In the past I have owned an operated several of my own business entities and pride myself on finding solutions to problems. Currently I am serving my home state Senator John Thune as a Legislative Correspondent specializing in agricultural policy. My role requires me to stay on the cutting edge of policy development and communication with constituents and members of our staff. Collaboration as well as analysis are critical skills for me to employ while working on Capitol Hill. In the past I have had the great pleasure to be work with the development team for the South Dakota Department of Agriculture to build a better economic future for the state. I worked with local leaders and shareholders to identify opportunities in South Dakota communities that can diversified their economic holdings in agriculture and grow their futures. I believe that relationships are the foundational conduits in which business is transacted and life happens.
