About Ty Noel

Storytelling is my greatest tool. At a young age, I found a passion for reading. There was nothing more exciting than getting a new book, opening it up, and exploring a brand new world. It sparked a passion in me to do the same. As I grew older, I wanted to tell stories and I quickly found myself entering and winning writing competitions. That passion continued to grow and I discovered a joy in entertaining friends and family with my talent. In high school, I began exploring the mediums in which I could tell a story. I would film videos with friends for classes. I took photography courses to learn to capture the images I was conveying with my writing. I was part of the generation that began navigating social media and the many ways to engage with other people. At Eastern Illinois University, I explored what it meant to go out and find a story. I took the skills learned from my youth and brought them to my pursuit of a journalism degree. I continued working in different mediums so I could perfect my storytelling. I walked away from that program with a bachelors of arts in journalism, with a focus in public relations. My pursuit to perfect my craft didn't end there. I continued on at Eastern, chasing a masters in English, with a focus in creative writing. I took courses on technical writing and editing, poetry, fiction, and more. I honed these skills and left the school with a masters of the arts in English, with a focus on creative writing. After graduating, I took the time to self-publish a collection of short stories. I joined a small group of friends in writing and developing a table top role playing game which is actively in development. I started a blog and learned to market myself across social media. This story has brought me to where I am today. I develop creative marketing content, social media posts, and proposals. I apply the storytelling abilities I've earned throughout my academic pursuits to show clients why my employer matters. I use my skills to share their story in creative and engaging ways because that's what I do, I tell a story.
