About Tya Miller

I went from a waiter at O'Charleys, to sales at Sprint, to a teller at Bank of America. I traveled for five and half years setting up software and servers at different banks all over the U.S. I got three IT certifications while on the road and moved to internal IT. Corporate Desktop Support helped propel me into an area where I thrived. It combined my passion for people and my love for technology. Knowing that I wanted to move up in the IT world, I knew a degree is what I would need. I pursued my degree as an adult learner at the ripe old age of 29. I had a 10-year plan, work hard, take one class at a time, enjoy my family, work as the IT Endpoint Manager at UWG and graduate at the University of West GA. I have graduated with my Bachelor’s in Management of Information Systems with a concentration in Networking and CyberSecurity. Servant Leadership is at the forefront of my ambitions as I lead a team of highly skilled IT technicians. In August 2023, I start working on my Executive MBA at Kennesaw State University.
