B.S. Software Engineering student at MSOE with numerous and diverse, hands-on, and team-based project experiences. Devoting 15 hours a week and developing data science skills at Direct Supply. Devoting 9 hours per week with co-curricular involvement. Skills in Web Applications, Databases, Large Language Models, Python, TypeScript, Node.js, React.js, Java, C/C++. It was my friends who first gave me the idea to try a computer science class in high school which lead me to taking a basic java course and I found it to be something that I truly enjoyed learning about. What really lead me to taking another computer science class after this was my uncle who was a software developer. He showed me that I had the ability to go into any industry that I was interested in with a Software Engineering and showed me just how much variety there is in software. So, when scheduling for my junior year of high school came around, I decided to take an AP Computer Science course, and after that year I decided that software engineering was the career that I wanted to purse going into college. I discovered MSOE after going on a college tour there my sophomore year of high school, and I really took interest in the school during my senior year of high school when I realized it had a lot of the aspects that I was looking for in a college including: small class sizes which allowed for easier access to professors to ask questions on the content, and a great reputation for producing graduates who have all the skills needed to succeed in the business world. On my high school robotics team, we had two mentors who both graduated from MSOE and they both said that even though the school is tough it was very much worth the effort they had to put in. Since then, I have been able to apply my Software Engineering skills to various hands-on projects throughout the course of my freshman and sophomore years. For one such project, I worked with a partner to develop and create a Roblox Tycoon using Lua and Roblox Studio, and another example would be when I worked with a team of eight people to create an AI Model for Predicting Commodity Food Pricing. My co-curricular involvement in Xi-Alpha Christian Ministry, AI-Club, and Game Design Club has helped me develop strong communication, interpersonal skills, teamwork, and cross-cultural competency skills.
