Highly Motivated Research Scientist with 8+ years of experience in natural products chemistry and analytical chemistry: Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Small Molecule Isolation, Structure Elucidation, Analytical Development and Troubleshooting : Led the discovery of 8 novel natural products by developing HPLC, LC-MS, and LC-MS/MS methods to guide the identification and isolation of metabolites produced in microbial fermentations. Analyzed 50+ purified compounds through implementation of comprehensive 1D and 2D NMR experiments, facilitating the structure elucidation of the first cyathane terpenes from bacteria. Developed protocols harnessing HPLC and GC-MS to screen the activity of 40+ enzymes in vivo, resulting in the functional characterization of 6 enzymes involved in natural product biosynthesis.
