About Tyler Beamish

I am an incoming J.D. candidate at Notre Dame Law School (Class of 2028) and will be a member of the inaugural cohort of the Dean’s Initiative for Leadership and Scholarly Excellence. I graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in English. During my time at ASU, I was also selected as a fellow in the Harvard Law School Future Leaders in Law Program. Before pivoting to law school, I served for 11 years as a Combat Controller in the U.S. Air Force. My time in special operations instilled strong foundations of discipline, leadership, and problem-solving that I now bring to my academic and professional pursuits. Currently, I work at Gielow Groom Terpstra & McEvoy, a boutique law firm in West Michigan, where I’m gaining valuable experience serving businesses across a range of practice areas. While I am still exploring whether my future legal career will focus on litigation or transactional work, one thing is clear: I aim to use my legal career as a platform to serve veterans, rural communities, and other underserved populations. No matter where my path leads, I am eager to embrace new opportunities and continue growing both personally and professionally.
