About Tyler Campbell

I have taken on many different roles and explored various careers in my life, from gaining powerful work ethic principles as a Wildland Firefighter and learning the multiple aspects of helping to run a successful Insurance business. I never imagined I would want to be an educator, although thinking back, I always did love teaching others how things work and how they could get where they wanted to be in life. Yet, when I watched the TED talks of Salman Khan and Sir Ken Robinson, I was impassioned that such a great tide of people were rising to transform education. I have always believed that there was something deeply flawed about the educational institution and practices being the same as they have been for a hundred years; they were made for a one-size-fits-all industrial generation. I believe that our generation wants to embrace diversity, globalize, and explore the limits of human potential. The personalization of education is an idea that evokes a feeling that the zeitgeist is changing towards embracing the unique needs and learning styles each of us have. Having used technology so extensively in my own pursuit of knowledge, I am an ardent believer that it can serve as a powerful tool to help realize these ideals. Once I explored the plethora of unique ideas associated with educational reform and saw how my knowledge of technology could play a role, I realized that this was my calling in life. I may not be able to save the world or cure cancer, but if I can help reshape the system that fosters our young and old minds alike in the art of learning, maybe we will be able to solve those problems together.
