About Tyler Choi

I'm a hands-on problem solver with a background in process and data analysis - I use tools like root cause and pareto analysis to uncover deeper insights. I have transferrable skills and experience across multiple industries such as retail, finance and engineering. When solving complex problems, I love looking for simple, elegant solutions in other industries - for example, how can running a nuclear plant inform how we approach financial risk management? or how can the devising a game strategy for Settlers of Catan (I love board games) help inform product market positioning? When I'm not rolling up my sleeves to unravel complex problems, I lead projects and cross-functional teams to deliver organizational value, whether that means delivering a new tech feature, or leading a marketing campaign. You'll also find me in deep strategic conversations with other leaders on prioritization. I create easy-to-understand decisioning frameworks that help inform tradeoffs and prioritization for my team. I find deep satisfaction in organizing and defining the backlog so stakeholders move away from the "do-everything-tomorrow" expectation. In my free time, I love to catch up on new tech product innovations (I'm excited about wearable tech), follow the stock market, and play sports (spikeball and tennis are my current favourites!) I'm always seeking new and exciting opportunities to meet new people and chat about process and product!
