About Tyler Dickson

Tyler has recently completed the Marketing Management Diploma, specializing in entrepreneurship at BCIT. The classes within his program focus on marketing through building an understanding of the market environment so that teams can be effective when creating and building business plans. In addition, Tyler’s schooling has trained him to understand sales skills so that he can efficiently follow the sales cycle from prospecting to closing and following up. In addition to his schooling, over the past 4 years Tyler has travelled around the globe both solo and in a group situation. His traveling, have lead him to be lost in the world of China, surrender to the land of India, exhausted on the mountain tops of the Nepalese Himalayas, scorched in the desserts of Egypt, negotiating fare purchasing prices in South East Asia, hunting elk with the Inuit on the frozen tundra of Nunavut Iqaluit and sailing in the Caribbean. Each trip has tested him, emotionally, physically and psychologically. The skills Tyler has acquired through both travel and BCIT are proving invaluable to him. Travelling has provided him with the opportunity to build on communication and public speaking skills, as well as allowed him to build successful relationships on a global level. BCIT has given Tyler the opportunity to work with groups to successfully complete research assignments as well as build business plans for real life companies. Furthermore, through course projects Tyler has been able to build on becoming time efficient and organized when planning and executing tasks.
