About Tyler Hammersmith

Currently working as a Natural Resource Specialist for the Bureau of Reclamation in Klamath Falls, Oregon. In my current position I have a wide variety of skills and knowledge pertaining to Environmental law and policy including, but not limited to, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (Sections 401, 402, 404), National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106) and the Endangered Species Act. In my time at the Bureau or Reclamation I have prepared and finalized several Categorical Exclusions (CE's) working with Klamath Project irrigation districts, private entities, and restoration groups within the Klamath Basin. I have also worked collaboratively and closely with Reclamation staff, both in and out of our office, to prepare and finalize Environmental Assessments (EA's) while also working closely with project nexus' such as the Army Corp of Engineers, U.S Fish and Wildlife, National Fisheries and Wildlife Service, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Oregon Department of State Lands, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. I also have ample computer knowledge including many software applications, networking, and building and a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Having extensive computer background has prepared me well for work in many technical computer technology fields. I am a lead member of the Klamath Basin Area Office's (KBAO) Safety Committee and vice president of the KBAO Employee Association. Thanks you for your time, Tyler Hammersmith
