About Tyler Kim

Current CEO of Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific, Tyler Kim has been driving strategic, operational, and communications excellence throughout the Asia Pacific region for over two decades. With Weber Shandwick since 2009, Tyler began his career with the agency by launching the firm’s operations in Korea. Under Tyler’s management and leadership, the office doubled in its size in its first year and exceeded 60% growth in subsequent years. From Managing Director of Weber Shandwick Korea, Tyler grew to be named Managing Director of Weber Shandwick’s North Asia offices, Vice Chair of the firm’s Asia Pacific network and, most recently, CEO of Asia Pacific. With expertise spanning from integrated communications strategy and complex crisis negotiation to international market entry and creative digital campaigns, Tyler has counseled a wide range of senior executives of multinational corporations across a variety of strategies and markets – working closely over the years with leading brands like Goldman Sachs, Boeing, IKEA, AIA, American Airlines, and Samsung Electronics. His leadership within Weber Shandwick’s Asia Pacific community over the past decade has helped see the firm recognised with multiple Consultancy of the Year and Campaign of the Year titles from the industry’s leading awards programmes. Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Tyler led Edelman’s Korea office as Managing Director. Under his leadership, Korea became the firm’s most profitable market in the Asia Pacific region and Edelman Korea was recognised as Agency of the Year by Korea Public Relations Association. Today, Tyler is respected throughout the region for his people-first leadership style and creative business solutions – previously being named to Provoke’s Innovator25 and serving on the jury for the twentieth anniversary of the PR Awards Asia.
