About Tyler Lim

My name is Tyler Lim and I am a Civil Engineer. I found passion through dance, not only because it was fun, but because I thrived off of the creative process. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with new people and picking the brains of my mentors. Once I started college, I couldn’t dance as much since it was time for me to figure out what I wanted to do in life. I found Civil Engineering and I immediately felt passionate about something again. I felt that not only can I be creative, but I could offer something to the world in an impactful way. I believe that Civil Engineers are underdogs. We drive on our city’s biggest highways, longest bridges, and work in the tallest buildings yet we don’t stop to think how much effort was put into these projects. I want to be a part of that creative process. I want to collaborate with new people and pick the brains of the great engineers before me. I can only do that by networking, meeting new people and by always being a student.
