About Tyler McCray

Hey! My name is Tyler Michael McCray. I'm a New York-born and raised printmaker and visual artist specializing in printmaking, direct-to-garment printing, and graphic design. I bring a meticulous and dedicated approach to my work, developing iconography alongside personal narrative to find moments of intimacy, vulnerability, and somber reflection. I continue to explore these relationships through mixed-media work, and I'm interested in supporting print projects and art collaborations. Beyond my artistic practice, I have experience in visual merchandising, event coordination, and project management, seamlessly connecting creativity and business within my work. My recent roles at Arc'teryx, Bushwick Print Lab, and Richard and Dolly Maass Gallery have challenged me to hone my ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with team members, and engage with communities through art and design. Currently I'm a member of Acedia Studios, a community studio based in New York founded in 2022 and created to help uplift and promote small and established POC artists and initiatives throughout the city. While supporting, I'm actively seeking roles in museums, galleries, and cultural institutions to develop and support using my experiences with exhibition planning, project research, and gallery engagement.
