Within six months, our team rolled out a rewrite that is over 120x faster than the legacy version. Veterans Affairs Project: Worked on a multi-year contract for the VA, reducing the time to obtain veterans' benefits from 3+ years to 12 days. In the first year, as one of three full-time engineers, I wrote over 60% of the code. Our work in that first year resulted in a three-year contract extension. Favorite Projects: Interactive Storybook Apps for Kids: Developed 'choose your own adventure' style storybook apps enriched with music and illustrations. Despite the project's unfortunate shutdown due to funding issues, it remains one of my favorite projects. Beatles AI Project (2020): Built a website that plays MIDI files generated by a language model trained on the Beatles' lyrics and music, utilizing a custom data structure I created.
