About Tyler Obrien

I'm the CFO of Brock Transportation, a family-owned non-asset freight brokerage. My role lives at the intersection of strategy, finance, legal oversight, and operational problem-solving. • I stepped into the business 7 years ago, starting in accounting and growing into a leadership role that now includes contract negotiation, claims resolution, legal coordination, agent retention, and spearheading innovation—most recently through automation tools like EPAY and Highway. • I specialize in navigating the complexity and chaos of logistics: tightening cash flow cycles, minimizing fraud risk, resolving cargo claims, and guiding brokers through both crisis and growth. • I’m passionate about evolving this industry—especially as AI, automation, and consolidation begin to reshape what it means to be a mid-market. • I aim to bring clarity, calm, and results. Long-term, I’m focused on scaling what works, exiting what doesn’t, and staying sharp in the face of industry change
