About Tyler Orr

First and foremost, I am a husband to a wonderful wife, a dad to three crazy little boys, and a man of faith! Those are my most important identities. In addition, I am a connector and a career coach - I help people (especially college students) learn about themselves, find the right career and organizational fit, and knock the recruiting and hiring process out of the park. Earning two masters degrees, successfully tackling the craziness of recruiting season myself, and working for a Fortune 100 company put me in position to be an influence for good in the lives of many students - years before I decided to actually pursue a career in it. When I realized I found far greater fulfillment in my voluntary time spent with students than in my day job, and that I was naturally skilled at it, I decided to shift from corporate America to higher education. Even though it's now also my day job, I still love giving my time to help anyone I can through the career exploration and development process; including by being a sounding board for career questions or concerns, getting organized with the job hunt, reviewing resumes and cover letters, conducting mock interviews, and coaching on networking. Let me know how and who I can help! Clifton Strengths: Responsibility, Learner, Restorative, Input, Connectedness Enneagram 9 ("Peacemaker")
